SmartLine 16 User’s Guide

The following table shows how you obtain chassis and group-level
data from the display:

To select this

Click on this

A single port (ring or lobe)

Port Connector

All lobe ports

Between groups of four (i.e.,
between 4 and 5, 8 and 9, or 12
and 13)

An entire chassis

Anywhere on the front panel
away from port selection points.
(You also can click on the
device name in the SmartLine
Chassis window.)

DIP Switches

DIP switches

A white border encircles your selection, and associated status
appears in the Module Status box.

Status

When you select the entire chassis, you get the following status:

Address

Chassis address

H/W

Chassis Hardware revision

F/W

Chassis Firmware revision

S/W

Management Software revision

Unit

Locked or Unlocked condition of chassis

Speed Detect

Enabled or Disabled condition of chassis

T/R Speed

4- or 16-megahertz setting for chassis
