• When climbing a slope superior to 5° reduce the speed to 5km / h, avoid sudden
acceleration, maintain a 0° seat inclination and the backrest as straight as possible.
• Do not drive the wheelchair on lateral slopes greater than 5°.
• 4-wheel drive being the exterior profile for most terrains, the “mounting” is only useful
for crossing obstacles (footpaths for example).
• Maneuvering may only be affected at a reduced speed.
• Changes in mode, seat position, backrest, footrest, reduced and elevated speeds must
be performed while stopped.
• Approach obstacles at a right-angle, moving forward.
• Never mount or descend an obstacle moving backwards.
• When crossing an obstacle (footpath for example), use the “crossing” mode, pass
the front wheels slowly (2 km / h maximum). Follow the procedure in chapter 7.2. :
«crossing” driving profile.
• If sloping ground presents a risk of sliding, stop the wheelchair before doing so, slipping
risks putting the chair in a position that would prevent you from exiting the situation.
• The steering-lock is recommended for crossing obstacles, hilly terrain, or when you
lack traction (skidding).
• When leaving the chair, avoid putting your full weight on the footrests. The wheelchair
may tip forward, especially if the ground is on a slope.
• Do not leave your seat while on a slope.
• Do not leave the brakes disengaged on a hilly terrain.
• Electronics such as the joystick, the power module and the connections of the
OUTCHAIR, are protected according to the IP54 degree of protection (protection
against dust and some splashes) but may not, as a consequence, be used in bad weather
conditions (example: in the event of rain).
• The OUTCHAIR may cause electro-magnetic disturbances to other other devices,
which is why it is advised to turn off the OUTCHAIR while not in use.
• Changing the batteries may produce short circuits, these procedures are to be arried
out with the chair switched off (joystick off).
• Verify the correct functioning of the front wheel shock absorbers.
