9.8.1. Removing the batteries
• Remove the paneling by unscrewing the 4 knobs and tilting the seat. (Fig. 14)
• Remove the back cover, by unscrewing the 2 screws on each side. (Fig. 15)
• Remove the back plate by unscrewing the 2 screws, gaining access to the battery. (Fig. 16)
• Before unscrewing the battery terminals, note the position of each cable for their
reassembly.
• Unscrew the upper terminal (+ terminal) at the rear of the battery. Be careful not to short
circuit the chair (protect the terminals with insulation after removing them). (Fig. 17)
• Move the back of the battery to lay it flat, so that the lower terminal (terminal -) can
be unscrewed. (Fig. 18)
• Remove the battery backing.
• Block the rear right of the motor and remove the rear right wheel by following the
procedure for wheel disassembly described above. (Fig. 19)
• Unscrew the two screws of the wedge, right battery. (Fig. 20)
• Disconnect the central battery terminals. (Fig. 21)
• Take out the central battery. (Fig. 22)
