Concerning the tyres, please take into account the following remarks:
• OUTCHAIR tyres contain chemicals that can cause reactions with other chemical
substances (example: cleaning products or acid).
• Direct exposure to sunlight (UV) accelerates aging of the tyres. The result is a
hardening of the surface of the tyre tread which cracks at the edges.
• Regardless of the wear, the tyres must be changed every 5 years.
• Prolonged usage or strong heating of the tyres (if the OUTCHAIR is near a heater or
exposed to sunlight through a window) leads to a permanent deformation of the tyres.
Therefore, be sure to maintain a sufficient distance from heat sources.
2.6. MAIN SAFETY REQUIREMENTS FOR MAINTENANCE,
CARE AND DISPOSAL
• Maintenance of the OUTCHAIR must be carried out by Logo Silver approved, qualified
personnel. This also applies to all repairs and adjustments. Incorrect adjustment may
void the manufacturer warranty.
• The joystick must be switched off and the batteries disconnected for all work and
maintenance on the wheelchair.
• After removing damaged screws, nuts or special washers; replace them with
components that are identical in every respect and screw them in firmly.
DANGER!
Do not connect the positive and the negative of the batteries, or you
risk exposure to burns.
WARNING!
Under no circumstance should you exceed a vertical angle of 20° for
the backrest while moving.
WARNING!
Under no circumstance should you exceed a horizontal angle of 10°
for the backrest while moving.
