Operator Manual

General Troubleshooting

Additional Information

• If status indicator lighting is present, lights are red

on both sides.

turns white or green.

3. Press Command button on opposite side to close

door and return to normal operation.

Hands-free sensor is malfunctioning.

• If status indicator lighting is present, light is green or

white.

1. Press Command button to open door.
2. If door opens, try cleaning hands-free sensor. If

hands-free sensor is still not working, call STERIS

(service charges may be incurred).

3. If door does not open, restart rack return (refer to

section relating to

System Software is Malfunctioning

in

Operator Manual

).

Command button is malfunctioning.

• If status indicator lighting is present, light is green or

white.

1. Obstruct hands-free sensor to open door.
2. If door opens, Command button is malfunctioning.

Call STERIS (service charges may be incurred).

System software is malfunctioning.

• If status indicator lighting is present, light is green or

white.

1. Turn rack return power OFF.
2. Turn rack return power ON.
3. If problem reoccurs, call STERIS (service charges

may be incurred).

Door stopped moving before being completely open or

closed.

• If status indicator lighting is present, light is red on

one side.

1. Verify if something is obstructing door.
2. If so, remove obstruction.
3. Press Command button.

Pressure is too low.

1. Verify if there is air pressure leakage.
2. If so, call STERIS (service charges may be incurred).

One of the door cylinders is defective.

1. Call STERIS (service charges may be incurred).

Emergency stop pushbutton has been pressed.

1. Resolve situation.
2. Pull Emergency stop pushbutton.
3. Press Command button to acknowledge alarm and

resume normal operation. NOTE: If SCS Conveyor

System or ATLAS WAV System is present and doors

are opened, press Command button to close all

doors.

Emergency stop pushbutton is malfunctioning.

1. Pull Emergency stop pushbutton.
2. Press Command button to acknowledge alarm.
3. If door does not open, Emergency stop pushbutton

is malfunctioning. Call STERIS (Service charges may

be incurred).
