Rack Return

Operator Manual

WARNING
SLIPPING HAZARD

To prevent slips, keep floors dry. Promptly clean up any spills or drippage. For spills or

drippage of detergents or other chemicals, follow safety precautions and handling

procedures set forth on detergent or chemical label and/or Safety Data Sheet (SDS).

4.3 Before Operating Equipment

WARNING
PERSONAL INJURY

Risk of pinch point between door and upper panel. Do not push on top portion of doors;

do not push on door when door is rising; do not push on door when something is

jammed.

Risk of pinch point between door and threshold when door closes. Keep fingers away

from threshold.

1. Verify POWER (ON/OFF) toggle switches are positioned to ON.

4.4 Manually Changing Indicator Lighting Status

NOTE:

This procedure only applies with the status indicator lighting accessory installed.

The rack return may be equipped with status indicator lighting that informs the operator about the rack return status.

In some situations, the indicator lighting status may not represent the actual rack return status. To manually change

the lighting status, ensure the opposite door is closed and press and hold the

Command

button for three seconds.

NOTE:

This function does not work when the rack return is in alarm state.

The status indicator lighting indicates the following status:

• Green lights: Chamber is available for use.
• White light: Chamber is ready to be unloaded.
• Red light: An alarm was triggered.
• Light off: Chamber is not available for use.

4.5 Door Operation

The rack return is equipped with two sliding doors that can be opened using the

Command

button or with the hands-

free sensor. Doors are closed using the

Command

button. In some situations, doors may be opened unintentionally. In

that case, press the

Command

button to close door.

If rack return is operated automatically with ATLAS WAV System or SCS Conveyor System

and door is opened

manually using the

Command

button, rack return will stop working automatically. To resume automated operations,

press

Command

button to close door.

4.6 Loading Rack Return Manually

1. Ensure that the status indicator lighting (accessory) is green on rack return.
