You can specify a user-definable hard disk type for drive C: and drive

D:. The type 47 drive parameters must be entered in Standard CMOS

Setup (see page 54). This option specifies the type 47 data storage

area – 0:300h in lower system RAM or in the top 1 KB of applications

memory, starting at address 639K or 511K (depending on how much

base memory the system has). Type 47 data is stored in shadow RAM

if shadowing is enabled. The following graphic illustrates type 47 data

storage.
