Orange Booster
Ingredients
2 Oranges, juiced
1 Banana, sliced
4–5 Ice cubes
300mL Pineapple juice (unsweetened), or 200g pineapple, peeled, trimmed, cubed
3–4 Large basil leaves
Method
• Place the orange juice, banana, pineapple juice (or pieces) and ice cubes into the
blender jug, cover and blend using
Smoothie
mode until smooth.
• Tear basil leaves, add to the juice and blend again briefly on the
Pulse
setting
until the leaves are chopped. Serve immediately in chilled glasses.
Almond & Cinnamon Shake
Ingredients
1½ cups Almond milk (bought commercially or home-made, see below)
1 tsp Vanilla extract
1 tsp Cinnamon powder
Method
• Place all ingredients into the blender jug and blend using
Smoothie
mode until
smooth.
Almond Milk
• To make the almond milk yourself, place 1 cup of blanched almonds in a bowl,
cover with water and soak, covered, in the fridge overnight. Drain.
• Place the soaked almonds into the blender jug and add 3 cups of water. Blend
using
Smoothie
mode until well blended.
• Strain the milk. Store it in the fridge, in an airtight container, for up to 3 days.
