Rebooting a Switch
To reboot a switch, perform the following procedure:
1. Click on the Tools menu tab and select System Reboot from the sub-
menu.
The System Reboot Configuration page will be displayed, as
shown in Figure 51.

2. Select a Reboot Status of Start from the pull-down menu. The Reboot
Status default setting is Stop.
3. Select a Reboot type from the pull-down menu. There are three
Reboot Type options:
Normal Reset
Resets the switch and saves your configuration changes.
Reset to Factory Default
Resets the switch to its factory default settings. If you select this
option, all of your configuration changes will be erased.
Reset to Factory Default Except IP Address
Resets the switch to its factory default settings except for the IP
address you assigned to the switch.
4. Click the Apply button.
The switch immediately reloads its operating system. This process
will take a few minutes.
Caution
The switch will not forward traffic during the brief period required to
reload its operating software. Some data traffic may be lost.
