Port Statistics
You can remotely view individual port statistics with RMON by using your
SNMP NMS software and the RMON portion of the MIB tree.
Perform the following procedure to configure RMON port statistics for a
specific port:
1. From the main menu on the left side of the page, click the
RMON
folder.
The
RMON
folder expands.
2. From the
RMON
folder, select
Statistics
.
The Ethernet Statistics Settings Page is displayed. See
Figure 102.

3. The following fields are listed:
Index
: This parameter specifies the ID number of the new group.
The range is 1 to 65535.
Port
: This parameter specifies the port where you want to monitor
the statistical information of the Ethernet traffic.
Owner
: This parameter is used to identify the person who created
an entry. It is primarily intended for switches that are managed by
more than one person and is an optional field.
4. Once you have configured the parameters, click
Add
.
Your entry appears in the table at the bottom of the page. See Figure
103 on page 263.
