Queue Scheduling Algorithm
To change the scheduling algorithm for the egress queues, perform the
following procedure.
1. From the main menu on the left side of the page, select
Bridge
.
The
Bridge
folder expands.
2. From the
Bridge
folder, select
QoS
.
The
QoS
folder expands.
3. From the
QoS
folder, select
Scheduling Algorithm
.
The Scheduling Algorithm Page page is shown in Figure 74.

4. In the
Scheduling Algorithm
list, select one of the following
algorithms:
Strict Priority
- The port transmits all packets out of higher priority
queues before transmitting any from the lower priority queues.
Weighted Round Robin
- The port transmits a set number of
packets from each queue, in a round robin fashion, so that each
has a chance to transmit traffic. See Table 4 on page 199 for
number of packets versus the port egress queue.
5. Click
Apply
.
6. From the main menu on the left side of the page, select
Save Settings
to Flash
to permanently save your changes.
