Assessment by an Acoustic Consultant

For maximum accuracy the assessment of the acoustics is best undertaken by an acoustic consultant. Many factors

need to be taken into account, including the noise generated by each Artus unit, the effect of multiple Artus units, the

distance between noise source and observer, room reverberation and the extent of absorption by surfaces. In order to

enable an acoustic consultant to carry out a detailed analysis, the following tables of octave band sound power levels

(Lw dB) have been obtained from lab tests for different fan speeds, and are a combined sound level for discharge

and suction sides of the unit. The units do not exhibit high levels of directionality when compared to other air-terminal

devices and details can be provided on request.
