Setting other ventilation parameters (inspiratory
trigger, I/E ratio, Pmini alarm, Fmaxi alarm)
Press successively on the
button to display the name
of the parameter to be set, on the first line of the screen:

Inspiratory threshold trigger (TRIG)
•
Can be blocked (value = OFF)
•
Keeps its value between two « power on” switches
•
I/E ratio (I/E)
•
Pmini alarm threshold (Pmini)
•
High frequency alarm threshold (Fmaxi).
Then set the parameter to the desired value using the
and
buttons.
Validate by pressing on the
button and the setting will
be stored by
OSIRIS 2
.
Repeat the operation for each parameter.
The I/E ratio setting directly influences the V
T
insufflated to the patient. Therefore, after changing the
I/E ratio, it may be necessary to reset the V

, using the
inspiratory flowrate setting knob
.
Setting the Pmaxi safety value
This setting is made by turning the graduated knob
.
Pmaxi can be set between 10 and 80 cmH

O/hPa.
The setting is indicated on the screen by a vertical line.
Each time the device is switched on the default
values for the settings parameters are used: TRIG = -1
cmH2O, I/E = ½, RRmax = 40 bpm, Pmin = 5 cmH2O
for software version V1.020 or earlier and 10 cmH2O
for software version V1.021 or later. To find out the
software version installed, switch on
OSIRIS 2
. The
message «OSIRIS VX.XXX» will appear during startup.
