3 Installation and commissioning
3.6 Assembly of the patient circuit and of the accessories
CAUTION: Make sure that the use of accessories does not affect the safety and the expect-
ed performance of the device. Only use the accessories described below with the Monnal T60
Advanced .
CAUTION: It is necessary to use a hydrophobic bacterial filter (1) on the ventilator’s inspira-
tory outlet (2) .
CAUTION: An HME (3) (heat and moisture exchanger) filter can be used in addition to the hy-
drophobic bacteriological filter (1) . It must be placed on the Y-shaped part (4) .

CAUTION: Air Liquide Medical Systems recommends using the patient circuits listed in
Chapter List of options and accessories on page 101. If not, the use of patient circuits con-
taining phthalates or bisphenol A poses risks for pregnant women, lactating women, and chil-
dren.
Monnal T60 Advanced is compatible with double-branch, adult and pediatric circuits.
In a case where the expiratory valve is not fitted, assemble the expiratory valve as shown in Expirato-
ry assembly cleaning protocol on page 141 then insert it into the housing until you here it click into
place.
