U2701A/U2702A Modular Oscilloscopes User’s Guide

AutoScale and Run/Stop buttons

AutoScale 

AutoScale automatically configures the oscilloscope to best 
display the input signal by analyzing any waveforms connected 
to the channel and external trigger inputs.

If AutoScale fails, your current setup will remain unchanged. 
The following steps will teach you how to perform auto scaling 
on your acquired signals.

Once you have obtained a running signal, click on 

 on the oscilloscope toolbar or via Tools menu.

The auto scaling may take awhile for the application to 
analyze and adjust the waveform.

3

Once the auto scaling has completed, you will see a best- fit 
waveform displayed on your graph.

Run/Stop Button

The Run/Stop button is used to manually start or stop the 
oscilloscope’s acquisition system from acquiring waveform 
data.

Click

Click on 

 to stop acquiring waveform.
