Handler Interface
Function T est
(Option 202 only)
P erform this test only when troublesho oting the Option 202 handler
in terface b oard.
This test v eries the Option 202 handler in terface functions. When
this test is p erformed the follo wing LEDs WILL NOT turn ON
b ecause the signals they represen t are not used b y the Option 202
handler in terface b oard.
PHI-, PLO-, SREJ-, UNBAL- and ALARM-
Equipment:
Handler Sim ulator Agilent PN 04278-65001
Cable Agilent PN 04278-61635
Procedure:
1. P erform steps 1 through 5 describ ed \Pro cedure:".
2. Disconnect the at cable from the handler in terface b oard. The
handler in terface b oard has bro wn and an orange extractors and
its lo cation is sho wn in Figure 10-12.
3. Remo v e the handler in terface b oard.
Caution
The in terface b oard con tains electronic comp onen ts that can b e
damaged b y static electricit y through electrostatic disc harge(ESD).
T o prev en t ESD damage,main tain frequen t con tact with an y bare
sheet metal surface on the c hassis. A grounding wrist strap (or
similar device) is useful for this purp ose. Handle the b oard carefully
at all times. Av oid touc hing electronic comp onen ts or circuit paths.
Note
Before p erforming step 4, note the jump er settings in order to return
them to the same setting at the end of this function test.
4. Set the jump ers on the handler in terface b oard the same settings
as when the b oard is shipp ed from the factory referring to
Figure 10-16.
