Step 5 - Mapping IR Codes
Once captured IR codes have been
tested and verified, you can begin
mapping the commands on their
appropriate buttons.
1
Select the source (Src) number
that the component is going to
be connected to. Typically, the
input on the multi-room system
corresponds to the IRL port (i.e.
source 7 is input 7 on the HTR-
2400 and controlled by port 7).
2
Select the first transport function
you wish to map (i.e. > or play).
3
On line #1 under Action T/D, se-
lect Transmit.
4
On the same line, Double-click
the mouse while under Detail. A
Open window will appear. Navi-
gate to the device who’s IR code
you wish to select and choose
the appropriate code from the left
window.
Hint, you can skip
step 3 by just going right to
step 4. Double-clicking under
Detail automatically inserts
the Transmit option in Action.
5
When the desired IR code is se-
lected, press OK or hit the Enter
key. A path will appear under
detail. This is the map used to
find the respective IR code when
downloading to the IRL. If you
were to go and move files around
or rename files/folders after the
buttons are mapped, the pro-
gram will not find them during
download. This is why creating
the proper folder structure is so
important prior to mapping IR
commands.
6
Several ADA keypads feature a
display that can confirm an IR
based transport function by
name (i.e. PLAY). In the top of
the window, type in a word that
describes the IR code/function.
7
Repeat these steps for all IR
codes and components.
