OMPARISONS

The HTR-2400 with respect to programming and setup is essentially two systems in one.
Setting up the Multi-Room system is done independently of the Home Theater system.  While
some of the features and setup options are similar, the two setups need to be done indepen-
dently.  Here are some comparisons.

Multi-Room Sources

The Multi-Room system uses only the eight
analog audio inputs.  You can limit the num-
ber of inputs the user would see and this pro-
cess in essence reduces the inputs, from say
8 to 5 inputs.  That means the first 5 inputs
would be used.  In this example, if you are
using ADA keypads with source specific but-
tons, you will want to make certain that the
first 5 buttons match the remaining five
sources (MC-5511 has fixed inputs).  You can-
not assign jacks to source names.

Multi-Room Source Control

The Multi-Room system permits you to as-
sign source control per input.  This setup is
done in addition to the Home Theater’s setup.

Multi-Room Source AC Control

The Multi-Room system permits you to as-
sign AC outlets to sources.  This setup is done
in addition to the Home Theater’s setup.

Multi-Room Turn On Presets

The Multi-Room system permits you to set
an acoustical turn on preset per room includ-
ing volume, tones, and tone filters.

Multi-Room Maximum Volume Level

The Multi-Room system permits you to set a
maximum volume level per zone/room.

Multi-Room Factory Defaults

The Multi-Room system permits you to recall
Factory Defaults.  Installer Defaults are not
needed because rooms have turn on presets.

Home Theater Sources

The Home Theater system can also limit the
number of sources the user sees and like the
Multi-Room system, the inputs are reduced
in number, for example from 20 to 11.  And
like the Multi-Room system, you can relabel
the source names.  The Home Theater sys-
tem can access all eight Multi-Room sources
as well as additional Home Theater sources.
Unlike the Multi-Room system, the Home
Theater system is more flexible, permitting
you to assign A/V jacks to source names.

Home Theater Source Control

The Home Theater system permits you to
assign source control per input.  This setup is
done in addition to the Multi-Room’s setup.

Home Theater Source AC Control

The Home Theater system permits you to
assign AC outlets to sources.  This setup is
done in addition to the Multi-Room’s setup.

Home Theater Turn On Presets

The Home Theater permits you to set a turn
on volume level preset, turn on input, and
default modes per input.

Home Theater Maximum Volume Level

The Home Theater system permits you to set
a maximum volume level.

Home Theater Factory Defaults

The Home Theater system permits you to
recall the Factory Defaults.  You can also store
your Theater’s setup as an Installer Default.
