General information
•
A single network socket serves both the PC and telephone.
•
No interface card is required.
•
Switching is performed live over the LAN.
•
Geographical location is no longer a constraint (teleworking, independent set, etc.).
The range of IP sets includes the I740, i760, and i780 sets.
The
i740/i740N
set
is a variant of the M740 set. It is a native IP set which maintains the features
and ergonomics of the M740 set.
The
i760/i760E
and
i780 sets
are M760 and M780 sets migrated to IP, by adding an IP cartridge.
Integration of the IP cartridge can be performed in the factory by technicians, or on customer site
by installers. Hence, two options are possible:
•
The customer can purchase ready-to-use IP i760 and i780 sets.
•
The customer can migrate the existing installed base of M760 and M780 sets to IP, by fitting an
IP cartridge in the set. This solution provides all the advantages of IP, without purchasing new
sets (if software and hardware compatible).
Nota :
for more information, refer to the paragraph on the IP cartridge and its installation.
2.5

backup call is provided by the PBX. Before R4.1, this backup number can be entered in the
