8.12.1 Operation
The SIP phone is registered on each iPBX: number 3010 on iPBX1, number 5000 on iPBX2.
The numbers 3010 and 5000 must correspond to the same subscriber name. Subscriber 5000
must be unlisted. Each SIP subscription requires an IP phone licence.
When a number is dialled on the SIP phone from the numeric keypad, the ‘main’ line L1 is
automatically used, the number presented on the remote phone is the ‘main’ number (3010).
When the ‘secondary’ line L2 is used, it is the ‘secondary’ number (5000) that is presented on the
remote phone.
In both cases, if a directory record exists, it is the subscriber’s name that will be displayed.
In case of incident on SIP access point 1 or on iPBX1:
• The STT reroutes calls for phone 3010 to phone 5000: the call is presented on the phone on
line L2.
• Calls leaving the SIP phone must use line L2.
• If a number is dialled from the numeric keypad or line L1 of the SIP phone, you obtain ‘Call
failed'.
8.12.2 Configuring the SIP phone
