• Never try to divide the storage batteries, to modify them in any manner whatsoever and expose
them to strong jolts.
• Never dip the storage batteries into soft water or salt water.
• Never use or leave the storage batteries exposed to direct sunlight, in a vehicle parked in full
sun or any other place exposed to high temperatures.
• If you ever notice a discharge, an abnormal odour, a production of heat, a change in colour, a
deformation or any other abnormal condition during use, charging or storage of the batteries,
remove them immediately from the handset and keep them away from direct flames.
• The storage battery fluid may alter your visual acuity. In case of direct contact with your eyes,
rinse immediately and abundantly with clean water, then consult a doctor.
• If children must use the storage batteries, make sure that a responsible adult has informed the
children about the safety precautions and correct instructions on how to handle them, and
check that the children are handling the storage batteries correctly.
• If the storage battery fluid comes in contact with your clothes or skin, rinse it immediately and
abundantly with clean water. Prolonged contact with this fluid may cause skin inflammation.
10.2.2.2 Safety precautions for use
• The storage batteries are meant to be used with this handset only.
• Charge the storage batteries only with the provided charging station.
• New storage batteries are not charged. Therefore, you must charge them before using them
for the first time.
• Using the storage batteries in a cold environment may reduce the expected operating time after
full charging. Charge the storage batteries in an environment with a temperature between 10°C
and 35°C. Charging them outside this temperature range may result in a longer charging time,
or even charging failure.
• A very limited operating time after full charging indicates the end of service life of the storage
batteries. Replace the storage batteries with new ones (together with the cover of their
compartment).
• Never clean the storage batteries with a chemically-treated duster or a duster soaked with
thinner, cleaning spirit, alcohol or other solvents. This may deform the storage batteries and
result in malfunction.
