6.2.4.2 Connection
• The extension module is connected by an 8-pin RJ45 female connector.
• Connection precautions:
- M760/M760E: Unplug the line, then connect the extension to the set and plug the line into
the set, in this order.
- M780: Unplug the mains and the line, then, in the following order, connect the extension to
the set, plug the line into the set and finally, plug the mains into the extension.

- 760/i760E and i780: Connect the extension to the base set before making any connection to
the network
