OUTING

■

The minimum value hex 80000000 directs neighboring hosts not 
to use the address, even though it may be advertised as a default 
router address. It may be useful to configure an address with a 
preference level of hex 80000000 (rather than setting its Advertise 
flag to 

false

) when you use advertisements for “black hole” 

detection. (See RFC 1256 for detailed information about this term.)

the default gateway.
