Getting to Know Your ZyAIR
This chapter introduces the main features and applications of the ZyAIR.
1.1 Introducing the ZyAIR Access Point Series
The ZyAIR Access Point extends the range of your existing wired network without any additional wiring
efforts. The ZyAIR provides easy network access to mobile users. The ZyAIR offers highly secured wireless
connectivity to your wired network with IEEE 802.1x, Wi-Fi Protected Access, WEP data encryption and
MAC address filtering.
The ZyAIR is easy to install and configure. The embedded web-based configurator and SNMP network
management enables remote configuration and management of your ZyAIR.
1.2 ZyAIR Features
The following sections describe the features of the ZyAIR Access Point series. Features vary by ZyAIR
model. This table lists the difference between models; it does not include features that are common to all of
the ZyAIR models.
Some features are not available in every model. Refer to the Model Specific
Features table to see what features are specific to your ZyAIR model. These
features are defined at the time of writing.
