System is cleaned and disinfected

Prior to dispensing the MATRx plus System to the patient, the following must be completed:
When training the patient on the use of the system, refer to the MATRx plus Patient Manual. Make sure the patient
is comfortable connecting their sensors and understands how to check their sensors for correct set-up using the
Tablet’s Sensor Signal screen.
Warning
Train the patient to review signals for proper connection prior to study.
Note
Instruct the patient to charge the Recorder and Tablet when they arrive home and after each study night.
The patient should remove any nail polish on the finger that will be used for the Oximeter.
Review the following warning and cautions with the patient prior to dispensing the system:
Warning
The patient should avoid the use of drugs and alcohol prior to a study.
Instruct the patient how to read the Patient Information Card in order to verify their range of motion on the night of
their OA Study. If the range of motion values displayed on the Tablet are not the same as those recorded on the card, the
patient should stop the study and contact their Healthcare Provider.
Keep the system out of reach of children and pets.
The patient should discontinue the study if they experience any of the following:
Discontinue the study if any part of the MATRx plus System, Titration Trays and/or retention material show damage.
Nausea or vomiting (while using the Titration Trays)
Jaw or mouth pain (while using the Titration Trays)
Adverse reaction to any system component

Caution
Do not prescribe this test for patients who are unable to breathe comfortably through the nose while supine.
Note
The MATRx plus System is to be dispensed by a qualified and trained Healthcare Professional.
The MP should be attached to the Recorder before dispensing to a patient.
