SENSOR TEST
Attach and connect all the sensors.
Ensure all the sensors icons on the top row are green (e.g. Effort
Belt, Nasal Cannula and Pulse Oximeter).

Confirm the following signals are present and responsive:

Nasal airflow
Respiratory effort
Body position (Turn Recorder from side to side)

If all sensors are functioning, press Yes; otherwise press No.

MP TEST
Attach a set of Titration Trays to the MP.
Press the Test button. The Titration Trays will move to a series of positions.
When reading the Tray scale straight on at each position, enter the scale
values as read.
If the scale readings are entered as expected, the test will pass, otherwise
you will be informed of a test fail.

Note
A successful study relies on accurate MP function. The Functional Check verifies
that the MP remains accurate (see Reviewing the Data). If there is an issue of
inaccurate MP function during a study, the MP movement and data collection
will be paused (see Patient Tablet Error Messages).
Note
This sensor test is not part of the mandatory functional check when
selecting a patient.
Dispensing the MATRx plus System
Warning
Train the patient on the use of the device, including warnings, prior to dispensing. Pay particular attention on setting
up the sensors, charging the Tablet and Recorder, and verifying their range of motion.
Do not prescribe the device for patients that are unable to understand and comply with instructions, including
removing the Titration Trays unassisted.
