2. USING THE MINIGAS MK5
-O- for oxygen,
-F- for explosive gas,
-C- for carbon monoxide, -H- for hydrogen sulphide,
-L- for chlorine,
-S- for sulphur dioxide,
-d- for carbon dioxide.
It is not possible to change the display from this simplified
instantaneous screen.
If a potentially dangerous gas concentration condition is
detected, the audible alarm sounds, the respective sensor
indication flashes (for example, F) and the INST (
) arrow
remains highlighted.
Similarly, in the event of a STEL (or LTEL) alarm condition, the
audible alarm sounds, the respective sensor indication flashes
(for example, F) and the STEL (or LTEL) arrow is highlighted.
Note: The AutoZero, Autorotate and Standby Mode options are
not available with Go/NoGo instruments.
2.12 STANDBY MODE
The Standby Mode is a software option that allows the user to
take breaks without losing the peak values or corrupting the
accumulation of data for LTEL and STEL calculations. It also
conserves battery power, approximately halving power
consumption while in this mode by pulsing the explosive sensor
circuit instead of allowing it to monitor continuously.
Note: Standby Mode is not available on Go/NoGo instruments.
The Standby Mode is entered by selecting the elapsed time
display (Figure 1) and applying a long press to the I/O button.
The screen displays HLd and the watchdog signal is reduced
to one flash/bleep every 60 seconds. This mode is exited by
applying any press to the I/O button.
