(2)
Before placing the battery pack in the charger, ensure
that the contacts in the base of the charger and on the
battery pack are clean and dry.
CAUTION
Use a paper tissue or soft lint-free cloth to clean the
contacts, do not use any form of abrasive cleaner.
(3)
Insert the battery pack (or, after removing its protective
sleeve, the complete Minigas Mk5 instrument) into the
battery charger.
The battery pack can only be located in the charger in
one orientation (see Figure 2). Normally, the weight of
the battery pack is sufficient to ensure a good electrical
contact between the battery pack and the charger.
(4)
The charging light illuminates as soon as a good contact
is made. If the light does not illuminate, check that the
contacts are clean and then try again.
(5)
Remove the battery pack from the charger when the
batteries are fully charged.
Using a fast charger, a maximum of three hours is
required to charge a fully discharged battery pack.
Using a trickle charger, a maximum of 19 hours is
required to charge a fully discharged battery pack.
