Connect NAS device via an existing network
●
When the i.Profiler
plus
and NAS device are switched off, connect the NAS
device to the practice network (LAN) in which the i.Profiler
plus
is located
using a network cable. Complete information on installing the NAS
device is provided in the instructions enclosed with the NAS device.
Observe the safety information and requirements for cable
length and type.

Switch on the NAS device and wait until initialization is complete before
switching on the i.Profiler
plus
. Often, a light on the front of the NAS
device changes color to indicate that initialization is complete. Further
information is provided in the manufacturer's operating instructions.

Switch on the i.Profiler
plus
. After starting the device, click the
Close
application
button in the
Power down
window and switch to the
Microsoft Windows desktop (Administrator rights required). It is possible
that an indicator of the LAN connection may be displayed on the taskbar
at the bottom right if there is a connection to a NAS device. Ignore this
notification temporarily.

Open Windows Explorer. In the
Address
field, enter the characters “\\”
and then the IP address or name of the NAS device. Confirm by
pressing
Enter
. The released directories on the NAS device are
displayed.

Select an existing folder or create a new folder where the i.Profiler
plus
data should be saved.
●
Open the menu option
Tools
in the menu bar. Select the
Map
Network Drive…
The
Map Network Drive
window appears.
●
Select any drive letter in the
Drive
field.
●
Press the
Browse...
Button, and the
Browse for Folder
window will
open. Select the path to the folder in which the data should be saved. You
can also enter the path directly in the
Folder
field. Select
Reconnect at
logon
.

Confirm the entries by pressing
Finish
.
●
It may be necessary to enter the username and password for the user
account created on the NAS device once again.
●
Double click the program icon
Save Configurations
on the Windows
desktop to save the completed configurations. The device will then
restart.
