Installation
Installing a generic NAS device
•
Configure the NAS device using the device-specific instructions as
follows:
IP address:
192.168.100.7
Subnet mask:
255.255.255.0
Standard gateway: 0.0.0.0

Create a local directory on the NAS device.
●
Create a user account on the NAS device. We recommend using the
username “Zeiss” and the password “November171846.”
●
If there is a
Workgroup
, we recommend naming it “CZM.”
●
Approve reading and writing rights to the locally created directory on the
NAS device for the previously created user account.
Configuring a generic NAS device on the i.Profiler
plus
●
Switch on the i.Profiler
plus
. After starting the device, click the
Close
application
button in the
Power down
window and switch to the
Windows desktop (Administrator rights required). It is possible that an
indicator of the LAN connection may be displayed on the taskbar at
the bottom right if there is a connection to a NAS device. Ignore this
notification temporarily.

Open Windows Explorer and select the menu option
Tools
in the menu
bar.
●
Select the
Map Network Drive…
The
Map Network Drive
window
appears.
●
Select the drive letter
N:\
in the
Drive
field
●
In the
Folder
field, enter the IP address for the NAS device and the
approved directory as follows:
\\192.168.100.7\”Local directory”
●
Ensure the check box
Reconnect at logon
is selected.
●
Confirm the entries by pressing
Finish
.
●
It may be necessary to enter the username and password for the user
account created on the NAS device once again.
●
Double click the program icon
Save Configurations
on the Windows
desktop to save the completed configurations. The device will then
restart.
