Changing the Beam Combiner
•
Unscrew two screws (Fig. 5-1/
1
).
•
Push the cover of the beam combiner
(Fig. 5-1/
2
,
or Fig. 5-2/

) at an angle towards
the front and remove it.
•
Remove the fixing frame (Fig. 5-2/
3
).
•
Remove the spring (Fig. 5-2/
2
).
•
Remove the beam combiner (Fig. 5-2/
1
).
•
Insert the new beam combiner (Fig. 5-2/
1
) - in
the illustration below (Fig. 5-2), the coated side
is facing away from the observer.
The coated (reflective) side (Fig. 5-3/
3
) of the beam combiner has a beveled edge (Fig. 5-3/
1
) or
corner (Fig. 5-3/
2
).
•
Place the spring (Fig. 5-2/
2
) on the beam combiner with the narrow, short side of the frame touching
the deepest point in the slider. The bent edge of the narrow, short side (Fig. 5-2/
2
) must extend
around the beam combiner. If necessary, push the beam combiner slightly back for a moment using a
small screwdriver.
•
Insert the fixing frame (Fig. 5-2/
3
).
•
Attach the cover (Fig. 5-1/
2
) again. Tighten the two screws (Fig. 5-1/
1
) carefully, using very little force.
ATTENTION!
The beam combiner may break if the screws are over-tightened.
