CAUTION
• Use the dedicated antenna extension cable
provided by Yokogawa as accessories for
the transmitters.
• The antenna extension cable and
temperature sensor cable should not be
bundled together.
5.5.2.3 Mounting of Arrester and Wiring
Mount an arrester between the extension cables
and connect the grounding cable to the grounding
terminal of the arrester as required.
Connect the grounding cable to the grounding
terminal on the transmitter body. Class C grounding
with the grounding resistance of 10 Ω or less is
necessary. Do not share the ground with other
devices.

5.6 Grounding
When using the antenna extension cable with an
arrestor, Class C grounding with the grounding
resistance of 10 Ω is required. In other cases,
always ground the transmitter case in accordance
with national and local electrical codes. The most
effective transmitter case grounding method is
a direct connection to earth ground with minimal
impedance.
Grounding terminals are located inside and outside
of the terminal block respectively. Any of them may
be used.
