Before Starting • Configure the scan parameters as explained in section Setting the Scan Parameters,
p. 212 .
The laser stabilization is in the millisecond range. You can immediately use it for
accurate measurements.
Procedures Starting a New Scan
1.
Access the TLS-50 Unit Setup menu (see section Accessing an OSICS Module Setup
Menu, p. 33 ).
2. Expand the Scan menu and enter the Control sub-menu.

3. Turn the rotary knob to put the cursor before START and press it to validate your
selection.
The
Unit Setup menu is displayed and the scan starts. Real-time information on the
scanning process is displayed in the System Status screen.
Stopping the Scan
1.
Access the TLS-50 Unit Setup menu (see section Accessing an OSICS Module Setup
Menu, p. 33 ).
2. Expand the Scan menu and enter the Control sub-menu.
3. Turn the rotary knob to put the cursor before STOP and press it to validate your
selection.
The scan stops at the wavelength/frequency reached when the Stop function was
activated; the Unit Setup menu is displayed.
Resuming the Scan
1.
Access the TLS-50 Unit Setup menu (see section Accessing an OSICS Module Setup
Menu, p. 33 ).
2. Expand the Scan menu and enter the Control sub-menu.
3. Turn the rotary knob to put the cursor before RESUME and press it to validate your
selection.
The
Unit Setup menu is displayed and the scan starts at the last channel selected in
the previous scan. Real-time information on the scanning process is displayed in the
System Status screen.
