5. Wire harness continuity.
• Disconnect the rear wheel sensor coupler “1”, ABS ECU coupler “2” and ECU coupler “3”.
• Open circuit check
• Short circuit check
TIP
Disconnect the ECU related connectors before checking.
Refer to “PARTS CONNECTED TO THE ECU” on page 9-3.
Ground short circuit check “A”
NO
a. Connect the coupler securely or replace the wire harness.
b. Execute the diagnostic mode. (Code D07)
c. Rotate the rear wheel by hand and check that the indicated value increases.
Is that value increased ?
YES
→
Go to step 21.
NO
→
Go to step 5.
Between rear wheel sensor coupler and ABS ECU
coupler black–black
white–white
Between ABS ECU coupler and ECU coupler white/blue–white/blue
Is resistance 0
Ω
?
YES
→
Go to “Short circuit check”.
NO
a. Replace the wire harness.
b. Execute the diagnostic mode. (Code D07)
c. Rotate the rear wheel by hand and check that the indicated value increases.
Is that value increased ?
YES
→
Go to step 21.
NO
→
Go to “Short circuit check”.
