NOTE:
When more than one problem is detected, the water temperature indicator light flashes in the pattern of
the lowest numbered problem. After that problem is corrected, the water temperature indicator light
flashes in the pattern of the next lowest numbered problem. This continues until all of the problems are
detected and corrected.

replace it.

Discontinuity or short-
ing of the water tem-
perature sensor is

ing of the throttle
position sensor is
detected.
* If the CDI unit is working properly, the water
temperature indicator light continues flashing in
this pattern when the test lead is connected or
after the engine is turned on.
