Fuel system
Checking the canister
1. Check the canister. Replace the canister
if cracked.
2. Connect the special service tool
a
to the
atmospheric port
a
and cover the other
ports
b
with fingers.
3. Apply the specified positive pressure and
check that there is no air leakage.
Replace the canister if there is air leak-
age.
Installing the canister
1. Install the grommets
a
and collars
b
to
the bracket
c
.
2. Install the bracket
c
, and temporarily
tighten the fuel pump assembly bolt
d
and cylinder head cover bolts
e
.
3. Tighten the fuel pump assembly bolt
d
to the specified torque.
TIP:
Tighten the cylinder head cover bolts
e
to
the general torque in 2 stages.
4. Install the canister using the bracket and
the bolt. See exploded diagram (6-6).
