1 . Press the low er a rea of the Cursor [UP/ DO W N ]

sw itch to position the cursor a t the voice
Ca tegory field (the current cursor position w ill be
fla shing).

2 . Press Cha r [UP/ DO W N ] to select the tw o-letter

voice ca tegory code.

3 . Press Cursor [UP/ DO W N ] a ga in a s ma ny times

a s necessa ry to position the cursor a t a voice
na me cha ra cter field, then press Cha r to select
a n a lpha bet, numeric or symbol cha ra cter.

Yo u can also  use the PRO G RAM CHAN G E keypad to  enter
alphabet and numeric characters, by pressing  each 0 -9  key
o nce o r mo re, as indicated abo ve each key. Fo r example,
pressing  the 0  key to g g les repeatedly between the fo llo wing
characters: 0 -A-B-C-a-b-c-0 , etc.

This menu includes Track Reco rding and o ther parameters

relating to the Free EG functio n. The Free EG is a special

4 -track reco rder that lets yo u reco rd up to fo ur tracks (o ne

parameter per track) o f real-time chang es o f CO N TRO L

kno b po sitio n data (all kno bs) o ver a specified leng th o f

time, either in measures o r seco nds.

The parameter chang es asso ciated with the reco rded kno b

mo vements will auto matically play back as reco rded when

yo u subsequently play the vo ice fro m the keybo ard. Yo u

can select time leng th in bars (up to 8 measures) o r

abso lute time (up to 1 6 .0 seco nds), as well as desig nate a

lo o p type, o r co py track data within the same vo ice o r

fro m ano ther vo ice. Free EG parameters and data are

sto red as vo ice data.
