5 . Store the edited voice.
W hen yo u’ ve co mpleted the editing pro cedure and
wish to sto re the edited kno b parameters, yo u can sto re
it as a new vo ice in any desired vo ice lo catio n (1 ~
1 2 8 ). Fo r details, see Vo ice Sto re, pag e 9 8 .
If you turn off the AN1 x, or if the adaptor gets disconnected by accident, your
edited data will still remain in memory when you turn the power back on. Always
be sure to store important voice data.
Always be sure to store your edited voice before selecting a different voice, or you
will lose your edited data ( see Voice Store, page 9 8 ) . If you should inadvertently
forget to store your edited data before selecting a different voice, you can use the
Voice Recall function to retrieve the edited data. For details, see page 9 6 .
While you’ re editing, you can confirm the current voice number and name at any
time by pressing [ + ] or [ -] once to display it in the LCD. Subsequently, you can
continue editing by pressing or turning a knob.
Edit M a rk
W hen a vo ice parameter is chang ed, the Edit mark will
display in reverse type in the LCD. The Edit mark indicates
that vo ice data has been chang ed fro m the o rig inal but has
no t yet been sto red.
Voice Reca ll
If yo u select a different vo ice befo re sto ring impo rtant vo ice
data, yo u can use the Vo ice Recall functio n to retrieve the
edited vo ice data. Fo r details, see pag e 9 6 .

selected, the eig ht CO N TRO L kno bs will access specific
Pitch Envelo pe G enerato r- and Lo w Frequency O scillato r-
related parameters.
The PEG co ntro ls the envelo pe o f ho w the pitch o f a vo ice
chang es o ver time, fro m when a key is pressed, held, then
released, and ho w lo ng it takes fo r the so und to terminate.
The LFO is an o scillato r that g enerates lo w frequency
sig nals used to mo dulate the VCO (fo r pitch mo dulatio n, o r
vibrato ), the VCF (fo r filter mo dulatio n, o r wah) o r the VCA
(fo r amplitude mo dulatio n, o r tremo lo ). The AN 1 x has two
separate LFO s, LFO 1 and LFO 2 .
