To install the water pump housing, apply
Yamaha grease A to the inner face of the wa-
ter pump housing assembly, and then turn the
drive shaft clockwise while pushing down the
pump housing.

Installing the speedometer hose

1. Apply Yamabond 4 to the speedometer

hose, and tighten it.

Installing the lower unit

1. Install the dowels to the lower case.

2. Make sure that the shift rod is in neutral

position. Install the lower unit to the upper
case, and tighten the bolts to the specified
torque.

3. Install the trim tab

 to its original posi-

tion, and tighten the trim tab bolt to the
specified torque.
