Fax and Copy Operations

OTE

The characters ‘

’ (star-nine-star) are preset at

the factory as the default remote receive start code for
machines with extension phones rather than handsets. The
asterisks in the code are fixed characters, but the number
can be changed. See “Setting User-Selectable Features” on
page 3.5.

When you have finished speaking and receiving
documents, replace the handset of the extension
telephone.
