Conventions
Throughout this User Guide, there are some terms that are
used interchangeably:

Document is synonymous with original.

Button is synonymous with key.
½
Page is synonymous with sheet.
½
WorkCentre Pro 421 is synonymous with the machine.
Orientation
There are two types of orientation referred to in this guide,
Image Orientation and Feed Orientation.
Image Orientation
Image Orientation describes the direction of the image on the
page. There are two types of image orientation:
Portrait
The image is portrait when vertically aligned with the longest
edge of the paper.
Landscape
The image is landscape when vertically aligned with the
shortest edge of the paper.
