5. Open Tray 1 by pulling it outward and opening the tray extension.

6. Press down on the center of the paper-lifting plate until it locks into place.

7. Insert up to 10 envelopes in Tray 1 with the 

flap side up

. For envelopes with the flap along the long 

edge, load the envelopes with the flap toward the 

right side

 of Tray 1.

Note:

To minimize wrinkling and jams, press envelopes down to make sure that all air is removed, 

and make sure that the folds of the flaps are firmly pressed. Some wrinkling or embossing may still 
occur.
