This defect often occurs
when copying with the ADF
partially closed. The ADF
will not evenly press the
original document against
the Document Glass or CVT
Window. Uneven pressure
will allow segments of the
page to slightly lift off the
glass surface, and the
scanhead will detect
different density levels.
Open and Close the ADF
and verify it closes
completely.
Does the defect still occur? Go to Step 3. Complete.
