Note
Paper stored in extremely humid conditions (i.e., left in a machine over an extended period of time) may
have to be replaced with fresh stock in order to ensure optimal feeding and image quality.
Before you load paper
Before loading paper, unwrap the paper from the moisture resistant wrapping, discard the wrapper and
insert the paper in the tray (see figure below for proper loading orientation). Fanning the paper edges
is not required, but may be beneficial when using certain stocks in dry environments.
Tip
If you are loading any type of drilled paper, to aid in sheet separation and to prevent jams, it may be
helpful to fan reams before loading them into the tray.
Load the paper in paper trays 1 - 4 "seam side" of the ream up. "Seam side" refers to the side of the
unwrapped ream containing the seam.

Using Special Paper Stocks
The Xerox Nuvera is capable of printing on much more than normal white paper.
The figures below provide a few examples of the special stocks you can use with the system.
Once you have these types of
papers properly loaded and programmed in the paper trays
, you can add
them to your documents.
Special paper stocks can be used on this sytem. Some of the special stocks include:
• Carbonless papers can only be used on simplex priniting systems. When using carbonless papers,
additional cleaning time will be required.
• DocuCards can only be loaded 100 at a time in a tray. Run this paper stock until it is almost empty,
but not completely empty. This stock requires frequent reloading.
• Reinforced stocks such as Mylar tabs can be used 90 at a time.
• Transparencies is not available on the MX systems. The tray capacity when using transparencies is
up to 90 sheets at a time in a tray.
• Tabs can be used when following the proper tab guides.
• Envelopes can be used and are limited to the total amount of 60 in a tray at one time. Frequent
reloading is required.
Paper Usage and Expected Paper Performance
