Managing Printer Usage
Menus, Items and Values
The table below lists the menus, menu items and menu item values that can be controlled
at the printer’s front panel, organized by menu in the order in which they appear when
scrolling through the display. A boldfaced value followed by an asterisk (
*
) indicates the
factory default for that value.
Note
When you submit your print jobs for printing, the printer settings selected in
your application or printer driver will override the default settings in the front
panel.
Front Panel Menus, Items and Values
Menu
Description and Items
Job
Allows you to cancel the job currently processed, to force a form feed on a partially
formatted job in PCL, or to restart the printer. The menu’s items are:
Cancel Job
Cancels the job currently printing.
Form Feed
Ejects a partial PCL page.
Restart Printer
Reboots the printer as if the power was cycled, but bypasses
power on diagnostics.
Password
Appears only if the optional hard disk drive is installed and allows you to enter a
four digit password to enable printing (or deleting) of Secure Print jobs or Proof Print
jobs previously sent to the printer and stored on the printer’s hard disk drive.
