This feature “Mimics” the call
screening
featu
re of an answe
ring machine.
Five
seconds after a
call is answered by an
ex

that
user
can monitor/screen the caller
as they leave
a
message.
The extension
user will receiv
e a warning
to
ne, which indicates that a call
er has
been answered
by their voice mailbox.
The user has t
he option to monit
or the
call, or ignore t
he alert, and al
low the caller t
o leave a mess
age. Once the
user
has selected to monitor the caller, they
have
the option to le
ave the caller
undisturbed (leaving a mess
ag
e) or to retr
ieve the caller fr
om the voice mailbox
and be connect
ed to the caller for a live conversation.
