Answering a call
Th
ere are two
types of calls; in
tercom an
d network. Calls fr
om on
e exten
sion
to
another extens
ion are considered intercom calls. Network calls are calls made
thro
ugh a telep
ho
ne co
mpany
line and are o

en called Central Office (
CO)
lines
or just lines.
Interco

calls
– When ano

system allows you to speak t
o each othe
r without pressing the speaker button or
going off hook.
Network calls –
Calls coming from a netw
ork facility (Telephone Company) will
ring the telephone. When the telephone is
ringing,
lift the handset,

r press the
speaker button to answer the call.
