8. Maintenance
Before contacting Würth
-Service to verify whether
the instrument has a malfunction and needs to be
repaired, check the state of charge of the batteries
and their correct positioning in the appropriate slot
and check that the test leads work fine by carrying
out a continuity test with the test leads short-cir-
cuited together.
If assistance is required, before sending the instru-
ment for repair, remove the batteries to exclude
damages caused by any acid leakage during
transport, and make sure you protected the clamp
with a suitable packaging. Attach the shipping
documents as well as the details of the detected
malfunction. Würth will not assume any liability for
damages occurred during transport.
9. WEEE Waste treatment
At the end of its life cycle the product must be
disposed of according to the regulations in force
regarding the sorted waste disposal and cannot be
treated as a simple urban waste.
The product must be disposed of at the dedicated
collection centers or it must be returned to the
dealer in case you want to replace it with a new
equivalent product.

meets the requirements of the new
directives introduced to protect the envi

ronment (2011/65/EU, 2012/19/EU)
and it must be disposed of appropriately
at the end of its life cycle. Ask local au
-
thorities for information about the areas dedicated
to waste disposal. Anyone, who does not dispose
of the product following what is indicated in this
paragraph, will respond in accordance with the
regulations in force.
