with the additional caps (max length metal
contact part: 4mm).
•
The black test lead must be the first to be con
-
nected and the last to be disconnected.
• In combination with the instrument, use only test
leads, measurement terminals and accessories
authorized by Würth.
•
Before carrying out the test, make sure you
set the proper measurement function on the
instrument.
• When using the instrument on circuits with
non-insulated live parts, wear the personal
protective equipment required by the legislation
about safety in the workplace (insulating gloves
and boots, protection shield and helmet), to
prevent electric shocks.
• Do not use the clamp in an atmosphere with
corrosive, explosive or flammable gas.
• Before using the instrument, inspect the test
leads to find out damaged insulations or bare
conductors. Make sure that the insulation layer
of the test leads (red and black) is not damaged
nor exposing the internal conductive part. If the
test lead is damaged, replace the test leads
immediately.
•
Especially in environments classified as CAT
IV or CAT III, to prevent injuries to the oper
-
ator due to any direct lightning strike of the
line, which the instrument is connected with,
always wear the personal protective equipment
required by the legislation about safety in the
workplace.
• When the instrument is left unused for a long
period of time, remove the batteries before
storing it.
• If the instrument is damaged, immediately segre-
gate it to prevent its use. Contact Würth-Service
or the repair.
• In the resistance measurement, diode and con-
tinuity test, the clamp-on multimeter generates a
low-voltage signal (see technical specifications).
Before carrying out the measurement, check that
the circuit under test is suitable for supporting
this signal.
• Do not perform current measurement with the
test leads connected to the instrument.
ATTENTION
Do not act on the rotary
switch when an input voltage
is applied. Disconnect the test
leads from the circuit under test before
changing function.
