1.2 IMPORTANT
DEFINITIONS
The signal definitions shown below serve the safety of life and limb as well as for the appropriate
operating life of the device.
DANGER indicates a hazardous situation which, if not avoided, will
result in death or serious injury.
WARNING indicates a hazardous situation which, if not avoided,
could result in death or serious injury.
CAUTION, used with the safety alert symbol, indicates a hazardous
situation which, if not avoided, could result in minor or moderate in-
jury.
NOTICE is used to address practices not related to personal injury.
CAUTION, without the safety alert symbol, is used to address prac-
tices not related to personal injury.
1.3 How to use this instruction
In this instruction the technical description of all MRIK3-C versions is included. The user is given a
comprehensive insight into the various applications, the selection, installation, setting of parame-
ters and putting into operation of the MRIK3-C.
The manual MR- Digital multifunction relay describes the common part
of the MRIK3-C relay functionality e.g. how to change parameters. The
manual describe the device function which is equal to all HighTechLine
device types based on micro controller technology. E.g. MRI3, MRIK3,
MRN3, MU3, etc.
